Shooting

The shoots take place on a local estate with 2000 acres of varied topography from ravines and stands on the River Tay to hillside drives. The estate offers a variety of clay shooting packages and driven shooting days ranging from 200-350 birds, including high pheasants and partridges. Parties are treated to Toddy (elevenses) followed by lunch at the main house, prepared by the family’s private cook.

Rock Climbing

Climbing is a sport which brings great rewards – is there anything better than reaching the top of a tricky climb and feeling the sense of achievement, exhilaration and relief. Just outside Aberfeldy, in the village of Weem, is a perfect wee crag for younger climbers. This can be a whole day or half day activity for families or groups and is a fantastic day out playing and learning in the outdoors environment. For older youths and adults we would travel to just outside Crieff to use a higher crag at Bennybeg.

Highland Safaris

While your stay at the Ailean Chraggan in Aberfeldy will make to most of the beautiful Highland Perthshire scenery, Highland Safaris and Loch Tay Safaris are an excellent way to get up close and personal with the landscape and experience the Highlands rather than simply admiring the beauty. Highland Safaris offer a range of different activities that are fun for all the family.
